How to Enjoy Fleet Week from the East Bay

This Weekend: LaRussel at OMCA, a pumpkin patch, and Mago late night

Hear the jets yet? Probably not. Although the Fleet Week airshow is still schedule to take place this weekend, as of Tuesday evening, the Navy and the Blue Angels have officially pulled out of the event due to the ongoing federal shutdown.

Closer to home, Oakland Style kicked off this week. Now in it’s 3rd year, the 5-day event-series hosted by Visit Oakland showcases the Town’s art, fashion, music and cuisine. In celey, a few events are featured below.

Also in this week’s issue:

  • How to enjoy Fleet Week from the East Bay

  • LaRussel at OMCA tomorrow!!

  • On the lookout for “distracting” burglars

- Alright, alright.

If you do decide to go to SF, don’t drive.
