Prost! It's Oktoberfest in Oakland
This Weekend: Autumn Moon Festival, Pears & Wines, and a Roller Disco

Oakland Ballers are champs!! 🔥🔥🔥
Last Sunday, the Ballers defeated the Idaho Falls Chukars 8-1, securing the Pioneer League championship in the team’s inaugural season. Fun fact: the Ballers were so hot this year they broke the PBL record for regular season wins with a record of 73-23.
A parade celebrating the win is set to roll through downtown next Sunday (10/5) at 1pm. Starting at Frank H. Ogawa Plaza and ending at Prescott Market. Classic.
I’ll admit, it’s great to have a championship team back in Oakland, but TBH I’d still rather have the A’s… and the Warriors… and the Rai— forget it, go Ballers.

Oaktown’s Oktoberfest lineup
Drink wine, eat pears, and play barefoot in Moraga

Stories from The Town
Oakland’s new e-bike lending program is hard launched — Funded by a $1.8M grant from the state transportation program, the new lending program will make 50 e-bikes available for loan to low-income residents who can’t afford to rent.
OUSD’s violence interrupters are working, but running our of funds — The violence interruption and prevention teams, who replaced on-site officers at OUSD schools, are slated to run of funds by June 2026. The work reduced school suspensions by 10% and a 90% reduction in calls to OPD last year.
The viral SF parking app shut down in 4 hours — You know the fastest way to make a city take action? Point out where parking enforcers are so folks can avoid them.
