We’re mid-way through July and neighborhood summer festivals are on every corner.

This week’s Oaktown, we’ve got a breakdown of every festival happening this weekend, a farewell to the Seawolf, and a write up on Jimmy Butler’s $100 coffee spot — yea, it’s real thing.

1. Seawolf Public House Silent Auction - Saturday

When: Saturday (7/12) 4-8pm
Where: Seawolf Public House, Jack London Square

A staple in Jack London since 2017 is closing it’s doors later this month, and they’re sending themselve off with an auction. Bid on everything from the booths and pool tables, to taps and memorabilia while you cry into a pint. Get the details →

2. Candlelight Tribute to Bad Bunny - Saturday

When: Saturday (7/12) Show @ 7pm
Where: First Presbyterian Church, Oakland

Bad Bunny, performed by string quartet under hundreds of flickering candles, in a gothic Oakland church. That’s gotta be worth the ticket. Get ‘em here

3. Temescal Street Fair is BACK - Saturday

 

When: Saturday (7/12) 12-6pm
Where: Telegraph Ave between 40th & 51st

Food trucks, DJ sets, maker booths, community stages, and your neighbor’s dog in a bucket hat. Temescal turns all the way out. See details  

4. West African Jollof Festival - Saturday

When: Saturday (7/12) 3-8pm
Where: 1720 Mandela Parkway, Oakland

West African food and culture, plus a multi-city competition over who makes the best jollof. See details

5. SF Art Book Fair - All Weekend

When: All weekend, July 10-13
Where: Minnesota Street, SF

Now in it’s 9th year, SF Art Book Fair is back. Independent publishers, rare prints, zines, posters, and that book you didn’t know you needed. See details →
