We’re nearly halfway through June (already). If that’s got you down a lil’ freak out, don’t sweat… there’s good news. We’re just that much closer to summer festivities.
Plus, for all the dads out there, Sunday is Father’s Day. Have a good one.

Your Weekend Lineup
Each week, we bring you a curated list of events for families, couples, and everyone in between.
1. Major League Cricket Comes to Oakland

When: Saturday (6/14) – 6pm.
Who says the Coliseum is unfit for professional play? Major League Cricket certainly doesn’t. Starting this week, pro cricket finds it’s home in Oakland. See the SF Unicorns, Texas Super Kings, Seattle Orcas, and more play nightly through 6/18. Tickets from $15. Schedule & Tickets →
2. Montclair Beer, Wine & Music Festival

When: Saturday (6/14) – 12pm to 6pm
If you live in the Oakland hills, you know Montclair as the sleepy “village” where you can still spy a Rite-Aid in it’s natural habitat. Come Saturday, it’s turning up with a family-friendly street fest complete with local brews, Brazilian music, and summer vibes. Free entry.
3. 3rd Annual Juneteenth Celebration with Black Rock Collective
When: Saturday (6/14) – 3pm to 7pm

4. Bloc Party at The Greek
When: Saturday (6/14) - 7pm
Sad you missed Mumford and Sons’ two-show stint at The Greek? Cheer up, Block Party is playing Saturday. Last we peeped, GA tickets are selling for $78 before fees. A touch steep, but c’mon this band is like the soundtrack for the indie-aughts. Get Tickets →
5. Treat Dad to Oakland Temescal’s Food Tour
